Friends is an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which aired on NBC from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. The series revolves around a group of friends in Manhattan. The series was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The original executive producers were Crane, Kauffman and Kevin S. Bright, with numerous others being promoted in later seasons.
The Mets in the show are referenced. In Chandler's and Joey's apartment a Mets cap is seen in the apartment right above the TV. Joey used to be a Mets fan but becomes a Yankees fan through the rest of the show. All things Mets related in the show all involve Joey. Examples are in The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy Joey and Chandlers girlfriend Janice went to a Mets game and come back with a Mets banner flag.
In The One With Ross' Library Book Joey's girlfriend Erin is a Mets fan and in the episode they both talk about the Mets after watching a Mets game.
In The One With The Fertility Test Joey tells Charlie the Mets suck proving he is a Yankees fan. But Charlie says the Met as in the museum.
