He signed a minor league deal with the Mets on December 12.
2012[]
He was called up on August 7 as Elvin Ramirez was sent down to make room for him on the 25 man roster and Dillon Gee to the 60 Day DL to make room on the 40 man roster. However on August 11 he was DFA'd to make room for Johan Santana who came off the DL and he cleared waivers on August 14 as he was sent down to the minors.
On October 6 along with Jack Egbert he became a free agent.
