Lamar Johnson Sr. (September 2, 1950 in Bessemer, Alabama, United States) is a retired professional baseball player who played infielder in the Major Leagues from 1974-1982. He is the current hitting coordinator for the New York Mets.

He joined in 2005 the Mets organization as the roving hitting instructor, then as minor league hitting coordinator. He became the hitting coordinator since 2010.
