John Robert Murff (April 1, 1921 – November 28, 2008) was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1956 through 1957 for the Milwaukee Braves.

As a scout for the New York Mets, he discovered and signed future Hall of Famer pitcher Nolan Ryan and All-Star catcher Jerry Grote.
