Robert James "Rob" Johnson (born July 22, 1982) is a Major League Baseball catcher who is a free agent.

On December 22 Johnson signed a minor league deal with the Mets.

On May 8 Johnson was called up after Josh Thole was placed on the DL. Johnson pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the Mets on May 18. For more see Mets Get Jayed. On June 1 he was sent down as Thole returned from the DL. He was recalled up on July 25 after Mike Nickeas was sent down. He was re-sent down to make room for Kelly Shoppach on the roster on August 15.

On October 16 he and Fred Lewis were sent down to the minors. But on the next day on October 17 Johnson declared free agency and became a free agent.
